Since our domestic water source is rainfall captured in a cistern, guests are asked to be conservative with water use. Drinking water is purchased in town. Hot water is available only in the shower, which is typical of most island homes. The house is cooled by ocean breezes, although portable fans are provided as well as air conditioning in one bedroom. Smoking and pets are not permitted, and children must be at least 5 years old since the house is not childproofed.
